I have been a registered marrow donor for 10+ years and never was called upon. I used to donate blood. In Germany you could go to a clinic like place to take care of your donation.
I was shocked to find that donating in the US is done in public areas or donor busses and a donation office is about 1 hour away. Not going to work for me so I don't do it any more........
