And, as I've said before: you can't judge an entire military organization or country based upon the actions of a couple fucked-up individuals - that just is not right.

Excuse me, but isnīt that exactly what has been done everywhere, through the course of history? When fingering Saddamīs regime of torture and abuse, the entire country is accused, but only a few were actually to blame. The entire population of Iraq was not guilty of torture, only a few were, just like this case. But no one thought about that when they decided to pin sanctions on the entire population, along with mentions on Human Rights reports, did they?
The State is always responsible for the acts of its subordinates.
When the world condemned Germany for the gas chambers, do you think the entire 85 million germans were guilty of torture? Only a few actually tortured, only a few actually abused, raped, or killed prisioners. But the whole country had to pay dues!
Throughout history the many have always suffered for the few. Why should the US be any diferent?
When condemning Fidel Castro and his regime, dids it ever occur to you that not all cubans are torturers, rapists and abusers? So why blame Cuba the country? Why donīt you blame only the cubans who commited such things?
Get a grip yourself, buddy!! I know you are just tooting your own horn, but lighten up! If your going to go all righteous about this, try sticking to one standard alone. Using double standards, depending on where you stand on the fence is just plain pittyfull.
Why should you take credit only for the good things, and not the bad things that your country has? When itīs a good thing, itīs all about "WE". When itīs a bad thing, it automaticaly becomes "THEM"? What is this?

They did NOT try to hide it or deny it or sweep it all under the rug, now did they? Did they?

Oh, btw, the soldier "came forward" my ass!!
The US Army only admitted to anything after CBS aired the piece in "60 minutes"
"The US Army confirmed the suspension after American network CBS broadcast images of US troops mistreating Iraqi prisoners."
Did you even bothered to read the article? Hadnīt the piece been aired, this thing would have never come to light, and you know it.
A General was suspended for it. If only those few "fucked up individuals are to blame, why is she being suspended then,uh? Out of pitty? Duh...
