Actually,
I believe in restraining my dog (130 lb Rottweiler) while I am in a moving vehicle. Not for his protection (well sort of) but for mine. In the event of an emergency break I would end up with 130 lbs flying through the car, hitting me, my wife or child without any way of protecting either one of us against the ballistic dog. It is simply nessesary for everyones protection.
