Pretty cool yet disturbing site dealing with the 26th of April 1986.

I can remember sitting in school when the news broke that some 3000 km's away the reactor had blown a few days earlier and all the rules as to what you can and can't eat (e.g wildlife and mushrooms were on the food index). There were worries how much radiation came down on us and where it was heading....
Sometimes I wonder what my kids will ask me about this and other events that have happened in my childhood... but then... it's not this portion of history will disappear or be forgotten in 500 years... or has it already?
