It depends on the screening process. If they screen everybody based on acceptable critheria, then itīs ok by me. But if they start pointing fingers to specific ethnic or religious groups, then the shit will hit the fan.
If thereīs an international database with names of known criminal and suspected terrorists, airport security can track them and ensure better safety for the public. Those known offenders have already a record with the national police, so there wonīt be any breech of a manīs right to privacy. The info would just be shared with more people than before.
Of course, iīm assuming this thing will be handled the right way. There are many ways this thing can turn into a major fuck up.
If innocent people start getting blacklisted because of ethnicity or religious affiliation, the fault will be on those who enforce the program, and not in the program itself. There is no reason to throw away perfectly good meat just because the cook is a total wanker, or is there?
