Unluckily for Yao, Shaq has regained his MVP stride once more and absolutely destroyed him.

From the LA Times:
"I'm the M.D.," O'Neal said during a pass through the visitors' locker room here. "I'll be the M.D. for 10 years."
Most Dominant.
"One game can't take me off my throne," he said.
O'Neal doesn't dismiss Yao. In fact, he called him "G.C.," then disappeared into the trainer's room.
G.C.?
The door opened a crack.
"Good center," he said.

Shaq is right, can you really make a case that Yao is more than a good center? He might have the potential to be a great center but that doesn't make him one right now. Shaq didn't say anything wrong or insulting this time. You can hate on him all you want, but that statement is a true one.

When Jordan was winning championships and Kobe entered the league. Did Jordan say "I'm the best. Kobe is decent." Umm no. When Hakeem destroyed Shaq in the NBA Finals when Shaq was young. Did he say "I'm the best, Shaq is alright." No. Great players need to show some class. No doubt Shaq is a great player right now. But it seems like he feels threatned that one decent center is finally in the NBA now. He really needs to show some class.

Wasn't even close. Shaq owned Yao tonight. Dunk after dunk after dunk. Whats with all this hype of Yao? He gets dunked on more then anyone in the NBA I believe. Shaq got dominated by some of the great centers like Hakeem, when he was a rookie as well.

The "hype" as the guy calls it above me, will come around in the years. When Yao gets experience and gets stronger. He has showed enough skills throughout the season to let one game effect him. No doubt Shaq dominated Yao tonight. It's happened to even the best before. So no need to think that Yao Ming is a "bust" because he got dominated by Shaq in one game.

I don't mind him saying that even though I somewhat dislike him with a passion. Since Yao isn't a great center as of right now. He has the potential to be a great one. At least Shaq didn't call him a "cub scout."
