It's probably cause your cd's are a bit messed up on the bottom. Take a look at your ps2 CD'S and see if you have medium scratches or deep scratches cause small are nothing. I say that cause i=scratch cd have a harder time to play load and everything else it is supposed to do.

So that might be your problem...
