France is vetoing it because almost all of their oil comes from Iraq, and they think that we just want to take it over so we can over charge people for oil. We talk about this almost every day in French class. They aren't the only ones who are going vote 'no'. Russia is voting 'no' as well. I think the whole "freedom fries" thing is crap. Just because the French dont support the war, doesn't mean that we should take off thier name from a food that isn't even French. French fries originated in Belgium. While they do speak French there, they also speak German and like 1 or 2 other languages I can't think of right now.
