Yeah, it's nice to say that nobody is every wrong and everything is all opinion.
But some things aren't.
Sometimes there IS a right and wrong.
You can be convinced you're in the right, but it doesn't make it so. The fact remains that in 3 states gay people are no allowed to adopt children, they're not allowed to get married in any states in the USA, and any public display of affection is not tolerated.
It also rings true that most people refuse to accept gay people, whether they admit "homophobia" or not. I actually had a conversation about this in my Creative Foods class when a purely inncocent Queer as Folk picture on my binder (amoungst other pictrures) was noticed. There were five of us talking about it - three girls (me included), in two guys. Both guys opinion can be summed up in - "Gays are grooossss. They better not hit on me. I'm beat their ass. But lesbians are HOT." One on the girls was with me, and the other was a bit iffy. And I realized, "This is the general opinion of the world." No matter where the topic comes up, it seems 2 out of 5 people are supportive of gay rights, 2 out of 5 are against, and the other 1 is undecided. That means something like 40% feel they have any concern in who others date, love, marry, or have sex with.
To that 40% - WHY?
